1991 – Frame Of Mind
‘Frame Of Mind’ – A series of paintings I created for my degree show in 1991. They are the beginning of my search for joy based art and an exploration of mental processes. I did also write a complimentary short story with extra linocut prints, which I used to inspire me with ideas to paint, but I later abandoned the story leaving me with just the images and the prints. I think they stand up well and are very original. The idea being that the grid represents a mental framework that some people are connected to at any particular time and some people are not.
